July 7
Dear Ang,
I went to see Rainman on Saturday. I must say it was awesome! It had a powerful storyline, and the characters were brought to life beautifully. It was both funny and touching.
I also want to add that the actor who played Raymond was really impressive. I think he has great potential. Please tell him that he has a new fan!
I was wondering if you would be interested in being the director for a project I am now working on as musical director. It is a musical about the Liverpudlian twins, who were separated at birth, and features Louise Clayton and Stephen Palfreman. I'm writing the music and lyrics with Marco Beltrami, the co-musical director, but we don't have a director yet. After seeing Rainman on Saturday, I was convinced that you would be the best choice.
If you are interested, I would like to get together with you and discuss it over dinner. I know you are very busy for the next two weeks, so I am thinking the week of July 27 would be good. Give me a call before the end of this week and let me know when the best time is for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly,
Suzy Appleby
