Good morning, Maria.

I don't know if you've heard the news yet or not, but Emerald Quality Technology (EQT) has just purchased our biggest rival, Tobika Electronics. And we have guaranteed employment to all of their upper and mid-level employees. This means that our offices will soon be shared with 45 new employees.

We are planning on having a dinner/reception at the downtown Botanical Gardens on March 15 where all of our employees and the 45 incoming members of our team can get together and hopefully spend a little time getting to know each other. What I need you to come up with is an individualized packet that will be placed at each new member's table and will include the following:

The new employee's full name, office location, and phone number. I would also like for you to include some information that will help them become familiarized with their surroundings (e.g. info about office recycling, employee lounge, recreation facilities etc.). Please submit a sample packet to me by March 8 so that I can go over it and advise you on any changes.

Welcome to Emerald Quality Technology! We hope that you find the transition to our offices as easy as possible. To help with this transition, we have matched you with Sally Masterson, one of our long-time employees.

Employee Lounge. Employee lounges are located next to the restrooms on each floor. Each lounge is equipped with microwave, coffee maker, large refrigerator, couches, tables, and a television.
