Memo
To : All Employees
From : Alice Wong, Engineering Analyst
Title : Request for quality control ideas
I'd like to announce that a quality
control team has been formed to inspect our sheet metal production processes.
We strongly want you to submit any ideas you have to upgrade the quality of
our sheet. We welcome ideas from all levels of the firm, from factory employees
to senior design engineers. Factory employees will receive a $500 award for
each idea that is implemented by the firm.
The team has presented idea submission
instructions, which outline the kind of information essential for the team to
go over your idea, give you feedback, and put your idea into practice. Please
don't hesitate to contact me if you need a copy of the instructions. We
anticipate a lot of your participation!

Re:
Quality Control
I am just a line worker, but I have
noticed that when the sheet metal is finished, it is stacked somewhat
haphazardly instead of being taken to a certain spot and arranged neatly.
It's a small thing, but could lead to at least small flaws in the metal. If
we had a specific area to stack the sheet and a specific way to stack it, it
could lead to improvements in quality.
If your team is interested in developing
this idea, please contact me at extension 463 at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.
