Dear Mr. Barker,

Please find below, my impressions of the Soundproof Swing concert near Dallas last Saturday.

I've been to a half dozen Soundproof Swing shows in the last few years, but this performance at the Ellis Motorplex was the most charismatic I've ever seen. The venue seemed an odd place for a jazz concert but what it lacked in intimacy was made up for with energy. I've never seen the Soundproof Swing members so chatty with the crowd! If they were trying to build a rapport, it worked. The audience ate up every note, chord, word, and stanza. The vibe was simply electric, and the open air was a surprisingly fine compliment to the music, played masterfully as always.
