1. I am terrible at drawing. I can′t make art at all. I used to teach small children and they all could draw better than I could draw. But I love to see other people′s art, and my mom at a local art museum, and so I can get in there for free and I can see beautiful works by masters in the arts. And I love to just walk down the hallway of a museum and explore it, and I love to see a painting in a totally new way when I look at it, even if I′ve seen it a hundred times .
I′m interested in art. When I was in college, I used to go to the museum quite frequently. I did take several art classes. I enjoy various artists, various mediums of art. I do draw. I draw anime, which is a type of – like a Japanese, or Asian, like Korean or Chinese comic book. Otherwise I haven′t been to the museum in a while, but I′ve been thinking about revisiting the local museum to bring back in touch with, you know, my artsy side.
Well, the art that I like is very different because I′m also a graphic designer so I like designing logos, graphic arts. Not necessarily with, you know, a brush because, believe me, I do not know how to do that. But once I have a mouse and a computer I can do anything, I′m Superman.
I don′t like art. I like science, I like books, I go to libraries, but I don′t go to museums. I like everything that is related to science – , machines, gadgets, discoveries, dinosaurs, anything that is old, but not anything that is related to art because I don′t enjoy art at all.
I′m actually not a big art person. I do go to museums in a while, I would say, if there is a big group going from my alumni club. But that′s one thing I would want to do a little more. I just need to stop making excuses and saying I′m too busy to go enjoy a great museum, there′s so many where I live. But I appreciate art. I don′t make art myself, but I appreciate when I see others do that. And I see it as a great and something that is great to have in everybody′s home.
