W: Dave, you didn′t grow up here in Detroit, did you? I vaguely remember you mentioning that you are from out of town.
M: Yes, I was born in Toronto and moved to Buffalo when I was in high school. I only moved to this city three years ago. Why do you ask, Jane?
W: Oh, I was just talking to Steve, and he told me that you are from here. I told him that you are from out of town, but he kept on insisting that you were born here. I had to come and ask.
M: I see. I think Steve must have confused me with my roommate Larry. He′s from Los Angeles.
